MG+M The Law Firm Partner Raúl J. Chacón Jr. will speak at the ABYC Marine Law Symposium. In December of 2022, MG+M successfully defended Sea Fox Boat Company in a maritime products liability case. At close, plaintiffs’ counsel asked for an award of more than $125 million, but the jury returned a verdict for the defense.
This presentation will primarily focus on the trial of Gonzalez, et. al. v. Sea Fox and Yamaha, et. al. and delve into the ABYC standards associated with the plaintiffs’ theories of liability. Furthermore, it will discuss MG+M's successful defense strategy in the matter.
