MG+M would like to congratulate Miami attorneys Raúl J. Chacón Jr., Kaylin S. Grey, and Russell M. Pfeifer for being named to the 2018 Super Lawyers list.

Raul has been named to the Super Lawyer list since 2013. He is a partner in the firm’s Miami office and his practice focuses on a variety of litigation areas, including maritime, personal injury, products liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation. Raul is vice chair of the Florida Bar Maritime Law Committee and a member of the Florida Bar Admiralty & Maritime Law Board Certification Committee, the Cuban American Bar Association, and the League of Prosecutors. He is also an adjunct professor of maritime insurance law at the University of Miami School of Law, and is board certified in admiralty and maritime law by the Florida Bar Association. He has been published and has presented on various topics, including maritime law and practice, handling maritime claims in the U.S., management of maintenance and cure, risk shifting in maritime contracts, products liability, and analysis of U.S. Supreme Court decisions.

Kaylin has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star since 2017. She is an associate in MG+M’s Miami office. Kaylin’s trial experience is extensive. She has litigated more than 100 bench trials and more than 20 jury cases as a former prosecutor with the Miami-Date State Attorney’s Office. Kaylin also has significant experience handling commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court, representing corporate clients and individuals in a wide range of matters.

Russell is a partner in the firm’s Miami office. He has been named a Rising Star since 2015. His practice focuses on complex litigation with an emphasis on products and premises liability matters. Russell has served as lead counsel in several high-profile wrongful death cases, and has worked extensively in matters involving the defense of national and international product manufacturers, commercial premises and business owners, and professional liability claims of attorneys, accountants, insurance professionals, and architects.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in a state are selected by Super Lawyers to receive this honor. For Rising Stars, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in a state are selected and the candidates must be 40 years or age or young or have practiced for ten years or less.
