MG+M The Law Firm Partner Candice Kusmer has been honored with a 2024 Native American Indigenous Leadership™ Award by Profiles in Diversity Journal®. In its fourth edition, this annual award recognizes “tenacious leaders” who are “dedicated to excellence in all they do and are devoted to mentoring and supporting the next generation of leaders and their larger communities.” Candice, a member of the Comanche tribe from southwest Oklahoma, is one of four honorees this year.
Candice is a leader in our firm, the legal profession and the community. Beyond her legal practice defending personal injury and toxic tort liability claims, she co-chairs the firm’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging Committee and is an active member of our Women’s Forum. Outside of the firm, she is involved with the National Association of Women Lawyers and the Junior Service Club of St. Clair County. She is a mentor for Washington University in St. Louis School of Law’s Women Mentoring Women program and volunteers with Mind's Eye, a free service that broadcasts readings of newspapers, magazines, books and advertisements to the blind or print-impaired.
Profiles in Diversity Journal will highlight Candice’s outstanding abilities, commitment and achievements in its third quarter issue. The magazine focuses on diversity, inclusion and equity in business, government, nonprofit, higher education and military settings. Its editions routinely recognizes individuals, teams and organizations that create, develop and promote strategies and initiatives that support diversity, inclusion and equity in the workplace and the larger community.
