MG+M Welcomes Five Partners and Seven Associates in Chicago

MG+M The Law Firm is pleased to welcome Timothy Krippner, Michael Cantieri, Christopher Triska, William Irwin and Daniel Powell as partners in our Chicago office and Asbestos Litigation Practice. This group of experienced litigators—along with Associates Alex Blair, Elizabeth Grande, Aerial Henderson, Dragana Kovacevic, Cindy Medina-Cervantes, Emily Sample and Andrea Walsh—joins MG+M from a national Chicago-based law firm. They bring substantial experience with a record of successfully defending companies at trial and serving as coordinating and trial counsel on the national, regional and local levels.

Tim Krippner focuses his practice on catastrophic loss and long-tail liability and handles high-stakes litigation, including as national, regional and local coordinating counsel. Clients frequently entrust Tim as lead trial counsel in catastrophic loss matters, and he coordinates resolution strategies at all levels of liability. He develops long- and short-term strategies for complex liability management for Fortune 100 companies and other major manufacturing and private equity concerns. He also consults in merger and acquisition analysis regarding long-tail liability risk and appropriate avoidance strategies.

Michael Cantieri has a proven record of success litigating, arbitrating and mediating cases for numerous companies across the country. He defends clients in personal injury matters, including toxic tort, product, construction, pharmaceutical, premises, asbestos and transportation-related claims. Michael has trial experience in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He has served as national coordinating counsel and trial counsel for numerous companies and is Illinois counsel for corporations in toxic tort claims pending throughout the state.

Chris Triska defends companies in catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims involving products, commercial and residential construction, premises, automobiles, commercial trucking, and contractors. He serves as local, regional and national counsel for numerous clients involved in asbestos and talcum powder litigation in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California. Clients turn to Chris throughout all aspects of the litigation process and rely on him for his extensive knowledge of methods and strategies to avoid or lessen the impact of litigation.

Will Irwin is experienced in a variety of civil matters and focuses his practice on products and premises liability claims associated with the use of asbestos. As part of a national coordinating counsel team for a large industrial products company, Will oversees asbestos litigation in some of the country’s most active and high-risk jurisdictions, including Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri and New York. He also serves as local and regional trial counsel in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and Indiana for numerous companies involved in litigation over the use of asbestos in their products and on their premises.

Dan Powell defends product manufacturers, premises owners and contractors in toxic tort litigation involving high liability claims of catastrophic injury and wrongful death. He serves as national coordinating counsel for a large industrial products company, helping direct the defense of products liability and premises claims across various active state and federal jurisdictions. He also serves as local and regional counsel for a range of product manufacturer and contractor clients facing claims involving terminal illness and wrongful death. Daniel frequently participates in mediations, settlement conferences and trial dockets in jurisdictions throughout the country to reach favorable resolutions for his clients.
