MG+M The Law Firm is pleased to welcome Thomas R. Stanton as a partner in our Wilmington, Delaware, office. Tom brings more than 30 years of experience working in-house with Fortune 500 companies, advising C-suite and frontline management executives on litigation avoidance, and handling high-stakes cases.
Tom has represented companies at hundreds of arbitrations, mediations and settlement conferences and taken more than 20 matters to final adjudication at trial or appeal in federal and state courts and at final hearings in arbitrations in the United States and Latin America.
At MG+M, Tom will apply his extensive experience to a wide-ranging practice counseling clients through complex, high-stakes business and commercial disputes, class actions, liability matters and investigations. His decades of in-house practice give him a deep understanding of clients’ business objectives and the financial and reputational impact of disputes. Tom is particularly skilled in the strategic negotiation of settlements, helping companies avoid litigation when possible and identifying the most effective solutions to minimize business disturbance.

Tom also joins the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion + Belonging Partner Committee. He is actively engaged in providing pro bono representation to individuals and legal aid groups in a variety of areas, including veterans’ benefits and immigration law, and applies his passion for service to others throughout his practice.
Prior to MG+M, Tom served for 12 years as assistant general counsel for a global foodservice conglomerate and spent 20 years working as an attorney for a global hospitality company. He received his JD from The George Washington University and a BA from Brigham Young University.
