Reducing Claims Against Engineers on Alternative Delivery Projects
American Society of Civil Engineers

Overview

MG+M Partner David J. Hatem will join industry leaders for a featured panel discussion during the upcoming workshop hosted by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Committee for Claim Reduction Management.

This two-day program will explore a wide range of risk-related issues in alternative project delivery. David will speak on the panel Key Elements of the Alternative Delivery Contracts—Lessons Learned on May 2, offering insights into how contract provisions can mitigate or compound risk and what strategies stakeholders can use to better align expectations and outcomes.

Attendees will hear from legal, engineering and insurance professionals as they examine real-world lessons through hypothetical claims scenarios and risk mitigation strategies. Session topics include:

  • Trends in design-build, progressive design-build and CMAR delivery
  • Professional liability and insurance considerations
  • Claims avoidance and dispute management
  • Collaborative team development
  • Contract provisions and project execution lessons

Open to engineering firm leaders, project executives, risk managers, in-house counsel and underwriters, the workshop offers practical guidance for navigating today’s complex project delivery environment.
