Amanda Cachaldora is a seasoned trial attorney defending companies of all sizes—from family-run businesses to international Fortune 100 companies and their insurers—in products liability cases and civil litigation. Her clients span a broad range of industries, and she commits much of her time to claims involving cosmetic talcum powder. She also has experience with employment law and benzene liability matters, and serves as liaison counsel for Florida asbestos litigation.

Amanda has litigated approximately 100 trials and handled hundreds of motions and depositions. She leverages her extensive experience in litigation and oral advocacy to successfully advocate for her clients, resulting in prevailing on a variety of dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment. She handles cases from inception to resolution, including being assigned as trial counsel; determining strategy; taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses; and researching, drafting and arguing motions, as well as negotiating their resolution.

Amanda has prior public-sector experience serving in the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office as an assistant state attorney and Felony Division Chief. She prosecuted all types of state-level crimes and concluded her time there investigating and prosecuting homicide cases. During her time at the state, Amanda tried 45 criminal jury trials and more than 40 criminal bench trials, and was responsible for thousands of hearings involving criminal and civil matters. She also drafted and participated in oral argument for two criminal appeals.

During law school, Amanda worked in the Hofstra Criminal Justice Clinic, where she represented clients charged with misdemeanors and local ordinance violations, performed fact and crime scene investigations, negotiated resolutions, and researched and drafted pleadings and motions. She also worked as a law clerk, focusing on workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, general insurance defense and criminal defense.

In addition to her American education, Amanda studied in France, Italy, and South Africa. She enjoys traveling with her husband and children, reading, and snow and water skiing.
