Marissa Steiner focuses her practice on high-stakes toxic tort litigation, including cases involving exposures to cosmetic and industrial talc, asbestos and benzene. Marissa has extensive experience defending Fortune 100 and 500 companies as both local counsel and national coordinating counsel. Marissa employs unique defense strategies, which has led her to leverage early dismissals and drive down settlement values in high-risk cases.
Prior to joining MG+M, Marissa worked at a national law firm defending numerous cosmetic companies, product manufacturers, retailers, distributors, suppliers and insurers involved in talc and asbestos litigation throughout jurisdictions nationwide. She has extensive experience handling cases from inception through resolution.
During law school, Marissa served as an executive board member of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Team, where she won first place in the Florida State University National Civil Mock Trial Competition. Upon graduation, Marissa received the Archibald R. Murray award, cum laude, for her dedication to public interest work. Marissa has been continuously dedicated to public service and pro bono work and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Education Rocks, a non-profit focused on providing opportunities for children in need to receive educations.
