Mary Tucker is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the firm’s diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) and pro bono initiatives, including training and recruitment efforts. She is the administrative manager for the firm’s southern offices, working alongside the executive team to support culture, firm direction and growth. Since joining MG+M in 2017, Mary has focused heavily on recruiting, interviewing and hiring diverse candidates.
Mary has 20 years of experience in human resources and has worked in the legal field since 2012. Prior to joining MG+M, she was the human resources manager for Curry & Friend, PLC.
Mary earned her BA from Louisiana State University in 1993 and is a certified senior professional in human resources. She also holds a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management from the HR Certification Institute.
Mary is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and served as chairperson for the New Orleans chapter’s diversity committee. She belongs to the Forum for Equality—an LGBTQ+ human rights organization dedicated to the establishment of a society free from discrimination and to the support of good government—and serves on the organization's board of directors. She is active in the Human Rights Campaign, an organization working locally, nationally and globally on issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community. Mary also participated in the Forum for Equality’s Equality Means Business project in Louisiana, which highlights major employers in Louisiana who have adopted comprehensive nondiscrimination policies, and demonstrate their commitment to valuing and including all employees.
Mary was born and raised in New Orleans, where she lives with her daughters.
