Melanie Chung-Tims has a proven track record for handling high-risk litigation. She has successfully defended her clients in products liability, civil litigation and employment law cases for more than a decade, and tried several cases to verdict. Melanie develops and executes innovative defense strategies for her clients, including Fortune 200, Fortune 500, small companies and individuals across industries.
Melanie serves as liaison counsel for asbestos litigation in Florida. She has resolved hundreds of cases involving asbestos, silica, mold and benzene, and defended contractors and suppliers in asbestos, talcum powder and benzene cases. She has also defended cases involving wire and cable, electrical products, brakes and clutches, cranes, gaskets and packing, chemical pipes, cement and sewer pipes, pumps and valves, trucks and equipment, and construction equipment and materials, including joint compounds, building wall panels, ceiling sprays, acoustical sprays, wall boards and floor tiles.
Melanie has also represented residential and commercial developers and condominium associations in Miami, on both the development and litigation side. For developers, she has handled title issues, restrictive covenant issues, construction defect issues and litigation.
