July 30, 2024

Overview

MG+M The Law Firm welcomes Jack McCants and Preston Lee as partners in Mississippi. Jack and Preston bring decades of experience defending clients in premises liability, personal injury and products liability claims, as well as transportation, environmental and construction litigation.

Jack has nearly 25 years of experience defending clients in claims arising from exposure to toxins, transportation accidents, and construction defect and construction site incidents. His client base ranges from regional enterprises to insurance carriers to Fortune 500 companies. A studied toxicologist, Jack has successfully litigated thousands of claims alleging asbestos, PCB and welding rod fume exposure in some of the most high-risk jurisdictions in the country.

Preston leverages his background in environmental biology to provide unique legal perspectives on his clients’ litigation issues. In addition to defending companies in liability claims and litigation, Preston helps companies navigate civil litigation and transactional matters and advises on a multitude of business issues. He works with clients across industries, including hotels and hospitality companies, construction companies and construction-related professionals, insurance carriers, and nursing homes. He also has experience in all aspects of agricultural litigation related to herbicides and chemical exposure, and has helped companies in the cannabis industry navigate business law and regulatory compliance.

“Jack and Preston’s clients hold them in high esteem, relying on their unique backgrounds in toxicology and biology for innovative, strategic and tactical insight into the most complex, high-stakes legal challenges impacting their businesses,” says MG+M Chairperson and Partner John B. Manning. “MG+M clients will gain substantial advantage from Jack and Preston’s wealth of experience as they offer successful cost-efficient solutions tailored to individual client needs.”

Jack and Preston’s arrival enhances MG+M’s regional capabilities for clients facing toxic tort and general liability litigation in the South.
