Overview

Preston Lee is an experienced trial attorney defending clients against products liability, premises liability, personal injury, environmental and construction defect claims. His environmental biology background and diverse experience allow him to provide a unique legal perspective and deliver successful solutions to his clients’ litigation issues.

As a trusted partner and advisor to his clients, Preston helps companies, especially those in the hotel and hospitality space, navigate negligence claims, contract breaches, personal injury cases and direct actions. He is also skilled in handling transactional matters, such as negotiating and reviewing contracts and advising clients on a multitude of business issues. 

In the construction arena, Preston defends construction companies, contractors and subcontractors, real estate developers, architects, engineers, other construction-related professionals, and insurance carriers in commercial and residential construction defect claims, construction-related injury claims and labor and employment issues. 

Preston’s experience in agricultural law includes handling various aspects of litigation related to glyphosate, dicamba, and other chemical exposure and herbicide spray drift matters. 

In the cannabis industry, Preston helps companies navigate corporate matters, licensing and permitting, insurance, litigation, real estate and construction of facilities, intellectual property, health law, information technology, and labor and employment issues. 

Preston also has experience defending nursing home and assited-living facility litigation. 

Prior to joining MG+M, Preston was a director at another national litigation firm. His previous litigation experience includes defending clients in state and federal court cases involving allegations of nursing home negligence, medical device defects, commercial and residential construction defects, insurance coverage disputes, and mass tort litigation including cases alleging exposure to silica. Following law school, Preston served as a law clerk with the US Environmental Protection Agency in Washington DC and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality in Jackson, Mississippi.
