Carrie Lin is a trusted and effective litigator specializing in complex litigation matters. With over 15 years of experience in complex litigation, Carrie currently serves as regional coordinating counsel for a major manufacturing company in asbestos litigation, and is responsible for the management of this company’s asbestos litigation on the West Coast, including California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Hawaii. She also serves as local and trial counsel for other clients in asbestos products liability litigation in California. In both her role as regional coordinating counsel and local and trial counsel, Carrie manages all aspects of a case from filing to settlement or verdict, including offensive discovery, fact witness depositions, dispositive motions, expert witness development and depositions, in limine motions, and trial.
Carrie’s non-asbestos product liability experience includes prosecution of personal injury claims against tobacco companies, at both the trial court level and on appeal. She has also represented plaintiffs in employment class action litigation both prior to and after the class certification process in state and federal court.
Carrie is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of Law, in San Francisco. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from New York University in Comparative Literature in 2001. Carrie served as a law clerk to San Francisco Superior Court judges Ronald Quidachay and James Warren in the Civil Law and Motion Department. In law school she served as a Summer Honors Law Clerk for the California Attorney General’s Office, working in the field of Energy and Corporate Compliance, in addition to externships with the Marin County Public Defender’s Office and the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.
Carrie is a member of the California bar and also admitted to practice before all United States District Courts in California, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has been admitted to practice law in California since 2006.
