Experience

  • Secured an appellate victory in the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department, for a general contractor in a New York Labor Law case, with the court affirming that the plaintiff’s injuries were due to pre-existing avascular necrosis, successfully reducing a $17 million claim.

  • Secured a unanimous defense verdict from a New York City area jury for a multinational e-commerce company in a New York Labor Law construction case in which the plaintiff sought $6 million in damages. 

  • Secured defense verdicts for an international manufacturer of home appliances in a subrogation matter and a breach of contract matter

  • Secured a defense verdict from a New Orleans–area jury for a national air conditioner manufacturer and a national retailer in a cause and origin fire case
  • Obtained a complete defense verdict in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of a former supplier of asbestos cement pipe
  • Achieved a defense verdict for Somatics in the medical device case of Thelen v. Somatics, in US District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division
  • Successfully defended Oscar E. Erickson, Inc. in a personal injury case where the plaintiff was suffering from malignant mesothelioma in Alameda County Superior Court in Oakland, California
  • Secured unanimous defense verdict for a talc-powder product manufacturer in first-ever Chicago cosmetic talc trial
  • Successfully secured a defense verdict for Sea Fox Boat Company in a maritime products liability case in Lake Charles, Louisiana
